About CSTARS

....presenting scientists, government and community organizations a broad outlook on dangerous weather phenomena, climate change, maritime and coastal safety issues that could help in timely and effective disaster planning.

The project started with the wish to make satellite data accessible to the scientific community at an affordable price. It became evident that satellite images could improve knowledge in many areas and have numerous applications.

Mapping offered by CSTARS’ antennas cover all of Florida and the eastern half of the USA even into northern parts of Canada, all of the Caribbean Basin including the Lesser Antilles, Central America, Mexico, and a significant fraction of northern South America and the eastern Pacific.
